Your local business should stop wasting time sending emails. Automate them!

"Marketing automation" may sound like technology that’s out of reach for most local businesses, but that’s just not the case.

At its core, marketing automation is all about making repetitive, time-consuming tasks easier for any size business to manage – and there are multiple ways your local business can easily automate customer emails and texts to keep in touch with customers, share offers, request reviews, and a whole lot more. All on specific dates or times, and all without you having to lift a finger or worry about remembering to send them.

Watch this short video with Hibu’s Digital Product Manager, Lisa Mazzarese, to find out how your local business can leverage marketing automation to stay in touch with more customers (and spend less time doing it).

Hi, I'm Lisa Mazzarese, a Product Manager at Hibu. My job is to help small businesses connect with consumers in their local area. Now, when I talk to small business owners, no surprise, their two big concerns are... Number One, money. And Number Two... attracting and retaining customers. To attract and retain customers.

You not only need a great product or service, but you also need to build relationships, and building relationships takes time, and it takes money. Local businesses have traditionally relied on their high-quality person-to-person service models to compete, but that model can quickly become less effective in today's digital world.

So, what are local businesses doing to address these concerns? Here are three things we're seeing local businesses doing. Number one, shifting to tech assisted transactions. This spans anything from appointment setup, to video consultations, to accounting, and payments, and more. Number two, using automation.

The smartest small business owners have found ways to automate their word of mouth marketing, and automate their customer touchpoints through AI, or artificial intelligence. And finally, number three, local businesses are advertising and connecting with customers digitally.

Digital Communication tools like email and SMS marketing can be automated to keep your customers informed of things like promotions, open appointments and other updates. entry costs are low. And you might be surprised at how effective this advertising model can be in driving incremental revenue with very little effort.

Now, some businesses have told me they haven't maintained a contact list so they cannot get started with SMS and email marketing. But you may not realize – if you moved any part of your business to tech assisted transactions. You already have a list and you just don't know it yet.

Working with a trusted partner like Hibu can help you automate your marketing – from email and text message marketing to online review management. We're here to make marketing your local business easy. Think about it, and give us a call.
